What is a prayer watch?

A prayer watch splits a stretch of time into hours, and someone takes on the prayer for each hour. That builds a chain which never breaks: where one person stops, the next begins. 24pray is the tool for it — it shows which hours are still free, reminds you of yours in good time, and keeps the chain visible for everyone.

How it works

  1. Create a watch

    Set out what you are praying for and over which period. Whether it is split into hours or into days is your choice when you create it.

  2. Share it and fill the hours

    Share the link with your group — via WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal or wherever you write to each other. Everyone signs up for the hours that suit them.

  3. Pray it through together

    You get a reminder before your hour. On the watch page you can see at any time where the gaps still are and what is new about the concern.

Common questions

What does 24pray cost?
Nothing. It is free to use and there is no advertising. 24pray is open source, and the code is public on GitHub.
Do I need an account?
Not to pray along. You can take an hour as a guest — a name is enough, an email address is optional and is only used for the confirmation and the reminder. You only need an account once you want to create a watch yourself.
Who can start a prayer watch?
Any church, home group, family or prayer circle. There is no approval process and no minimum size — two people are already a chain.
What about different time zones?
Every watch has one fixed time zone. Times are also shown to you in your own time zone, so you do not miscalculate.
Can a watch stay private?
Yes. Private watches appear in no listing and in no search engine; they can only be reached through the invitation link. Public watches are in the overview and can be found by anyone.
